Leave the car in the hotel garage, cross Place Delille and its lava stone fountain and take a few short steps to the cobblestones of the rue du Port. On the way up to rue Blaise Pascal, you will discover the Lady of the Port Basilica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its interior courtyards and antique dealers’ quarter.
At the café terraces at Place de la Victoire, you cannot miss the Lady of the Assumption Cathedral built of volcanic stones. Climb the 250 steps up the bell tower to enjoy a unique panorama of the city, the Chaîne des Puys, the Plaine de la Limagne and the Forez mountains.
Easy access to shopping along rue des Gras before reaching the emblematic Place de Jaude which features the historic statue of Vercingétorix, the theater, the St. Pierre des Minimes Church and the modern city with its new terraces and the Jaude shopping centre.
